ProjectTerminal 2 Airside Development Programme
TSA Riley has been seconded into the Australia Pacific Airports Melbourne (APAM) project management team to provide professional services throughout the planning, design, and delivery phases of the Terminal 2 Airside Development Programme.
The programme involves the expansion of the international terminal to address forecast aviation capacity shortfalls, particularly in international passenger capacity, outbound baggage systems, and maintaining acceptable levels of passenger and airline service. This program includes the delivery of four major projects: the North Infill project, Satellite Expansion project, Terminal Services Building 4 (TSB4) project, and the Pier C Swing Gates project, alongside several other smaller projects.
Our responsibilities include managing external project management consultants, the APAM’s independent quantity surveyor, and the design consultant teams for each project. We oversee the managing contractor tender process with two tier 1 head contractors, liaise with key business unit and operational stakeholders, and facilitate APAM and airport approvals. In a high-risk, regulated operational, secure, and sensitive environment, TSA Riley is also responsible for achieving regulatory approvals, including Airport Building Controller, Airport Environment Officer, Australian Border Forces, Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and Airservices Australia.
