ProjectHistoric Royal Palaces
TSA Riley has acted as CDM Consultant (also known as a CDM Advisor) for a number of Britain’s historic royal palaces.
Kew Palace
Works involved the repair of the external fabric including roof, chimneys, brick walls and windows. Stainless steel pins were also used to stabilise the stressed and previously much repaired brickwork. The bricks were given a 17th century lime wash and the finish to the window paintwork was in lead to match existing.
Kensington Palace
Three roof lanterns were in poor state of repair with serious rot and leaks. These lanterns were repaired and the majority of the original features retained where possible. In addition, the roof required new lead and the rain water to discharge in a different direction.
Hampton Court
Works involved the complete refurbishment of the public toilets at Hampton Court. The room was stripped back to shell with asbestos removal followed by a fit-out with new female toilets, baby change facility, and wall and ceiling finishes.
