Chandler Wing Boiler Replacement
Works comprised of the replacement of the existing boilers and associated equipment to provide a combined DHW and LTHW heating and hot water system in the Chandler Wing of the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN); works took place in the Chandler Wing plant room.
Chandler Wing Lift 21 Modernisation
The modernisation of the Lift 21 bed lift within the Chandler Wing of the NHNN, which is a single access lift serving the Basement, Ground, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors, with a lift pit at the bottom and a Motor Room at the top.
The works involved the construction of fire-resistant hoardings at the lift access points within the lobbies, on each of the entry floors, the replacement of the primary and secondary power supplies serving this lift, through the entire length of the building, from the main switch room in the basement to the motor room. It also involved the replacement of the motor room distribution board, small power and lighting, installation of lift shaft fire detection along with a remote testing facility, replacement of the emergency lighting within the associated lift lobbies, with the Trust standard lighting, replacement of any old MICC fire alarm cabling within the associated lift lobbies, with enhanced FP200 cabling, installation of new data cabling for comms and CCTV and in-car CCTV as well as the replacement of the lift lobby lighting with LED lighting.
