Jim Bourke

Jim has over 40 years’ experience in the construction and civil engineering industries. Having trained as a Quantity Surveyor with one of the UK’s major construction companies, he then moved into the consultancy field where he has remained since.

Through Jim’s consultancy experience he has worked with many national and international construction companies and clients, helping them resolve issues with projects from conception through to Final Account negotiation, whether that be through the normal contractual process or subsequent adjudication, arbitration, mediation or litigation proceedings. Covering all sectors of the construction industry Jim has commercially managed multi million pound contracts and additionally prepared and negotiated the settlement of extension of time and loss & expense / additional cost claims, as well as being appointed to prepare Independent Expert Quantum reports for use in formal proceedings.
