All ProjectsAustralian Distilling’s national gin distillery program
The Australian Distilling Co’s vision is to create a portfolio of world-class spirits that celebrate and connect with the uniquely Australian way of life. The company champions local ingredients and iconic locales to ensure that every bottle says something about the community that inspired it. TSA Riley helped The Distilling Co. achieve this vision by delivering their new NT production facility.
Our people completed the work with remote support from a number of TSA Riley’s subject matter experts. TSA Riley led the project locally in Darwin, managing the planning and approvals processes. They also led the construction and commissioning of the facility, engaging local contractors and trades to successfully complete the works in 2022.
With recent experience delivering several food and beverage production projects, ranging from facility expansion to full turn-key solutions, TSA Riley had the necessary experience to successfully meet the client’s project requirements. The new distillery now produces flavoured gin and spirits for the local NT and national markets.
Jacana House Fitout, Darwin
This project saw the delivery of a tenancy restructure and fitout for the National Indigenous Australians Agency.
TSA Riley was the project manager responsible for the procurement of consultants to deliver a competitive tender process under a managing contract arrangement.
The team then managed the building approval process with the building manager and undertook stakeholder consultation as required. TSA Riley prepared a staging plan that aligned with the expectations of NIAA, managing the project through construction and the defects liability period.
Darwin Airport Automated Baggage Drop
TSA Riley is working closely with the Airport Development Group (ADG), which manages Darwin International Airport (DIA). Our integrated team project managed the successful delivery of a new automated baggage drop facility. The project presented substantial challenges through the need to replace existing check-in counters and conveyors while ensuring uninterrupted check-in operations.
On behalf of ADG, TSA Riley managed 3 distinct contractors, each responsible for different upgrade components and all operating on the same site. Ensuring site safety was paramount to our team.
In addition to complex construction staging involving a three-phase approach, TSA Riley worked with ADG to seamlessly integrate new software and hardware technology into an existing system. This required carefully balancing construction schedules with the airport’s operational demands, particularly during Darwin’s peak season. The project also entailed the coordination of numerous stakeholders, including all airlines and ADG’s operational and security teams.
The result, achieved with minimal disruption to airport operations, is a thoroughly transformed departures area at DIA. Updated and spacious, the area now features 30 new check-in kiosks and 23 advanced auto bag drop machines, all designed for common use. This not only streamlines check-in processes but also significantly elevates overall customer service, delivering a wonderfully positive impact for the Darwin community.
