We are proud to be a Founder Patron of Legacy Youth Zone

As part of Henry Riley’s current 5 year plan, we have made a commitment to be more engaged within the communities within which we operate.  We are therefore delighted to officially announce that Henry Riley LLP is now a Founder Patron of Legacy Youth Zone, Croydon.

Why Legacy Youth Zone

Young People in Croydon were already facing a multitude of challenges prior to Covid-19. Young people growing up in disadvantaged areas are more likely to perform worse in school, earn less during their career, and lead shorter lives. To compound this, children growing up in poorer families are exposed to risk factors that can seriously impact upon their mental health, such as low-quality housing and a lack of disposable income, resulting in little access to enrichment activities. This is a real and long-term problem, and with the current cost of living crisis and upcoming economic hardships on top of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we felt that it was more important than ever to make a commitment to support Legacy.

Our Commitment

We have committed to a three year partnerships with Legacy Youth Zone, and have pledged to donate £90,000 over the next three years to help support this incredible charity. Legacy is located around the corner from Henry Riley’s Croydon office, and we can see how the incredible work Legacy Youth Zone does is improving the local community and the lives of those involved. We are immensely proud to be able to support them as they continue to change the lives of local young people.

This partnership is one part of how we are working on becoming more socially conscious, sustainable and responsible business, and ties in with our value of Act with integrity: do the right thing. We are really looking forward to developing this partnership with Legacy Youth Zone over the coming months and years.
