Environmental

In the delivery of our services to our clients, any environmental impact we may have is limited to the activities undertaken from our offices and those of our clients. The scope and physical boundaries of our Environmental Management System are defined within our ISO 14001:2015 certification. We give due consideration to interested parties and their needs and expectations, and within the framework of our certified system we demonstrate our commitment to the environment and sustainability as a whole.

CarbonNeutral® company

In line with our vision to become a more Diverse and Sustainable business, we took the decision to voluntarily report and publish our carbon emissions. In doing this we have been able to calculate, reduce and offset our emissions to achieve CarbonNeutral® company certification in accordance with The CarbonNeutral Protocol, the leading global framework for carbon neutrality.

Through our carbon offsetting program we are reducing emissions and delivering low carbon sustainable development by supporting and investing in two carbon offset projects. Together, these projects meet all 17 Global Goals for sustainable developments and form part of the following global carbon standards:

Gold Standard
Climate, Community & Biodiversity (CCB)
Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)
Verified Carbon Standard (VCS)

The chosen projects, highlighted below, reduce carbon emissions in connection with forest conservation and renewable energy. We are committed to continuing to reduce our business emissions, with the target to be Net Zero by 2040, ten years ahead of the standard Carbon Reduction Plan requirements, set out by the UK government.

Quality

Customer satisfaction from high quality services is central to our business operations. To embed a focus on customer satisfaction, our business is independently certified to the international Quality Management standard ISO 9001:2015.

Our Quality Management System provides a framework that enables us to maintain a uniformly high quality of service to meet our clients’ requirements. It also ensures that we continuously improve the quality of our services.

Health and Safety

TSA Riley takes seriously the welfare of all its staff and those who enter our premises. As such we hold certification to ISO 45001:2018, the international standard for Occupational Health & Safety. We are also SSiP accredited. We remain focused and responsible for the work health and safety of our people, and others that may be affected by our activities. Our responsibilities include promoting and protecting the physical and mental health of our people who remain our priority.

Investors in People

We have held the Investors in People accreditation since 1998, being one of the first construction consultancies to gain this accolade. The accreditation is widely recognised globally, evidencing our values in action coupled with employee satisfaction.

We recognise that our employees are the key to our success. We therefore ensure that we train and develop all of our employees so that they reach their full potential. Our Equality Policy champions equality for All throughout all aspects of employment, from training to promotion and career opportunities. The Investors in People framework allows us to explore and focus on key areas for employee and business development and our goals are kept fresh as we are assessed every three years as part of the accreditation process.

We are proud that our business has been accredited by Investors in People to Gold standard. This standard is only awarded to the top 17% of employers.

Cyber Essentials Plus TSA Riley Limited is Cyber Essential Plus certified.
