ProjectSime Darby Properties Embodied Carbon Emission Baseline and Roadmap

Sime Darby Properties (SDP) is the largest land bank holder in Malaysia. They are property developers who own and operate golf courses, shopping centres and a convention centre.

SDP’s ambition is in line with that of the World Green Building Council. They aim to lessen their embodied carbon by 40% by 2030 and become a leader in building sustainable communities.

TSA Riley estimated the embodied carbon emissions for SDP’s typical 20’ x 70’ double-storey terrace home. Using this data, we developed a reduction roadmap to help SDP make informed decisions and prioritise actions to reduce their embodied carbon by 2030.
